Flourocarbon (FKM)

Initially introduced to the rubber industry in 1954, Flourocarbon Rubber is also widely known by its trade names; Viton® (Dupont™) or Fluorel® (3M™). It has wide acceptance to chemical compatibility, broad spectrum temperature range and low compression set and is recommended for petroleum oil, hydrocarbon base fluids and greases, silicone fluids and greases, carbon tetrachloride, many phosphate ester fluids and acids. It is NOT recommended for MEK, Acetone, Skydrol and a variety of ammonias and certain hydronated and chlorinated acids.

Temperature range: -15° F to 400° F (-29° C to 204° C)
